Somebody loves you

Elise crept down to our bedroom this morning. (master suite is on the main level in case you were thinking we slept in the basement..as if!) and quietly whispered in my ear "somebody loves you."
I was in the half asleep/half awake state. Not the dreamy, trippy state where you wonder "cool, am I dreaming?" The kind where what I heard instead was "somebody's going to kill you."
AHHHHHH!! and I shot up in bed "what? who? where are the kids?! Mike!!"

I never post anymore but thought I would share that story since valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays.  Not for the romantic, love, competitive cheesiness, but because it's just a really cute holiday.  Elise and I made the most adorable valentine's for her class. (hers were the best!..hehehehe)

and she knows it...she was happy to enjoy chocolate in the middle of the day! gasp! at school!

Aside from Max and me having an unapologetic cold/cough,  everyone's day has been happy and sweet.  Mike rarely buys me jewelry but when he does it's usually tres magnifique.   I guess he had been saving up because I got a beautiful diamond necklace this year.  It's called a "journey" necklace with diamonds in graduated sizes up to a big one.  I said "of course, like our journey in life."  He said "No, like the band."  obviously...
