I have decided the one and only spice I couldn't live without is freshly ground pepper. Mike has noticed my obsession with it over the years and how I put it on almost everything I eat...not ice cream though. I have an expansive assortment of spices (most of which I have never tried) thanks to Dean & Deluca but pepper wins my heart every time. See, I'm a simple woman after all..

me, it's all about the salt...and it actually does go in ice cream as well as most baked goods...my favorite iron chef battle is still the conjuror of salt!
Agree! I love fresh ground pepper on nearly everything, too!
